Certified Acupuncturist Since 1994
Molly O'Leary, DC, studied acupuncture through the Acupuncture Society of America
and with John Amaro, DC, founder of the International Academy of Medical Acupuncture.
She became a Missouri state certified acupuncturist in 1994.
Dr. O'Leary uses acupuncture either by itself or in conjunction with chiropractic manipulation to treat pain and other musculoskeletal disorders.
An Ancient Practice
Acupuncture is a very ancient form of healing developed in
China. The Yellow Emperor's Classic of Internal Medicine is
one of the first surviving documents to mention acupuncture,
written between 2696 and 2598 BC.
Mainstream Approval
In 1973 the New York Society of Acupuncture for Physicians
and Dentists was formed, but acupuncture has only recently
become more accepted in Western medicine. In 1999, the World
Health Organization listed more than two thousand conditions
that can be treated with acupuncture.
